30/06/13/ Adidas Padel

Adidas decided to expand into a new sport padel (aka lazy tennis). Shortly after winning the account in December 2012 the client threw us a massive curve ball. Their product range had not passed their internal tests, meaning they needed an extra 6 months of rR&D.

However they had already sponsored the four biggest stars in the sport (including the Global Champion) yet they were not able to put their logo on their shirts until the product was ready.

We turned the problem into an opportunity and created The Blackout campaign.

We gave the players full black outfits with blacked out paddles, ‘sponsored by’ nothing but a date - 30/06/13/.

On the 13th of June 2013 this video was released losing the numbers and keeping the stripes /// .

Revealing the players had been sponsored by adidas all along and launching the product. Making the campaign a huge success and positioning adidas as one of the major players in the sport to this date.

We also develop the global brand guidelines within the overarching adidas brand. and built their digital presence from scratch.

VFW - Virtual Footwear wall

Back in 2011 adidas asked us to create a digital retail experience to enhance their flagship stores. We created up with the “Virtual Footware Wall” a massive touch screen with hundreds of real time 3D rendered shoe models.

The wall was designed to host seasonal campaigns and product launches. The prototype was displayed in adidas London flagship store in 2011 before being rolled out worldwide, hosting multiple campaigns across the full range of adidas products.
